DESCRIPTION
The Centre is a regional shopping centre that was originally composed of two separate centres, which were eventually connected by an underground tunnel. The two sides of The Centre have been branded “East” and “West”, to assist customers in navigating through this property. A complete overhaul of the interior space was conceived to create a clean and fresh look that provided some consistency throughout the two sides of the centre. New floors and ceilings with new lighting including decorative custom lights, wood accents and custom furnishings all form part of this renewal, and create a more inviting and comfortable shopping environment. To enhance the experience of walking through the link tunnel, a WiFi lounge was created incorporating custom seating with integrated charging receptacles where customers can relax and be connected. The food court was completely renovated and emphasis was put on updating the tenant storefronts by introducing a higher, more prominent sign band as well as a distinctive framing around each storefront. Custom designed furnishings provide a variety of seating options accommodating singles and groups. Washrooms were updated and the exterior entrances were completely re-designed to create continuity around the perimeter of the building.
